There is a lot of VW mods in 50-80 USD price range. But if we want to buy something more immune to tough treatment the choice becomes more difficult... Whether the DOVPO E-LVT can be called HEAVY DUTY mod? Let's see...
... become more understandable :-) The Dovpo FOR SURE is more shock-resistant than typical box mods. And more: in the car I usually put the mods here:
So, during acceleration mods are turning around the hole, scratching the outer layer. Using the Dovpo you don't have to worry about it.
It should be noted that the rubber cover is perfect - there is no any "technological" remains which often remain after removing the cast from the mold. The definition of the edge and the surface is ideal. I think the pictures shows it.
Other "mechanical" elements are also done quite cleverly. Bottom cap:
in addition to the security holes and "for the coin" groove it also has grooved edge so it is very easy to unscrew without any tool.
The 510 head is a two-piece:
Plus pin is on the spring, AND on the thread - so there is a lot of adjustment capabilities.
Below we can see the comparison with SX-Mini and ProVari (18500):
2. FEATURES.
Here is quite good:
* 35W power,
* 0.2 - 3 ohm resistance,
* powered by 18650 battery.
All served in a classic style like a DNA20: FIRE button, buttons up / down, and the display showing the resistance, voltage and power and vaping time. So it looks:
The display in standby mode (after 10 seconds it will fade):
The display during FIRE:
The display after FIRE (visible by about 2 seconds):
3. VOLTAGE SHAPE.
Done in my regular test set-up with Tektronix TPS2012 oscilloscope and 1 ohm microcoil installed on Mutation X v3.
As we can see the chip needs about quarter of a second to reach the rated voltage. So after pressing FIRE we have to wait a while to get a full hit. Besides it is very well - voltage is quite stable with no modulation.
NOTE - after several minutes of inactivity mod goes into sleep mode - then wake it up takes about 3 seconds:
4. EFFICIENCY.
Having the setup with 1 ohm coil we can also check if we get what we set. Below I compared:
* theoretical voltage what should be on the coil for a given power (calculated according to the P=U^2/R formula),
* real voltage MEASURED on the atomizer pins by use of multimeter.
As we can see it is VERY GOOD.
5. DRAWBACKS.
a) ergonomy of the buttons could be better - Dovpo used the regular, small microswitches which are quite good in regular mods. But in E-LVT they are rubber covered, so sometimes they are hard to "find" under the cover.
b) up/down buttons sometimes act spontaneously: 2 hours ago I set 20W power, and at this moment I see 20.6W in the display... Strange ;-)
c) the weight - it is just attribute, not drawback, but we have to remember that this equipment is not to put in the t-shirt pocket :-)
6. SUMMARY.
On the one hand, the Dovpo is one of the many mods...
BUT if you are looking for HEAVY DUTY stuff the Dovpo is one of the BEST ONE!
I want buy FACOLO 18650 batteries, Can you provide me?
